5-7-5 (Short-long-short) pattern
Traditional Japanese haiku used to be presented in a 5-7-5 syllables pattern but since in English haiku syllables doesn't matter as much, most haiku are presented in a pattern where the line in the middle is the longest (also called short-long-short pattern).
